What To Expect

We want you to feel completely "at home" when you visit Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church. It's understandable to have some questions before you visit for the first time, so we'll try to answer some of them for you here. We'll be thrilled to have you.

What time is the service?

Sunday service time is 10:30am. The best door to enter is the one at the corner of Crescent and Tennessee which will take you right to the back of the sanctuary.

What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in! You'll find some people in shorts or jeans and then there are others in button-up shirts and slacks. Come as you are, we're just glad to have you.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of room in the parking lot on the south side of the building. For the handicapped, there is a row of parking on the back side entrance where there is an easy access elevator.

Am I expected to put money in the offering plate?

If you are visiting us, we don't expect you to put money in the offering. If you end up considering Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church your church home, we would love for you to consider giving at offering time. The offering helps us to continue our mission and goes towards our mission work helping those in need.

Should I take communion?

Yes, all are welcome to the table.

What about afterward?

After the service, head over to the lounge where there are always cookies, fruit, coffee, and lemonade to enjoy. This is a time to catch up with old friends and make new ones as well. Come and enjoy yourself!
