Weekday School – June News 6/14

Summer has been busy and wonderful, but it is now half over. We are doing great things at the center. The school-age children have been swimming, going to the library, making light-houses, robots, chocolate candy, peace sign key chains and doing face painting. We have tried to keep them busy. They seem to be en-joying their summer with us.

The younger children have been busy learning about the ocean, fish, making their own pizza and sno cones. Also, the children have been working with their five senses, some even got to taste food, go on bear hunt, camping and playing in the water.

All the children have enjoyed playing outside and dis-covering the bugs on the playground. The school age children found and released a centipede with black and white legs. Our ladybug classroom has brought in crick-ets that the children play with on the playground and released. Most children love bugs and worms.

Just some reminders:
*We will be closed August 14 and 15 for staff training.
*We will be starting to take registration for the Craft Show on Saturday, October 25.
*We still collect Box Tops for Education and Labels for Education.
*We could also use any extra buttons, yarn and craft knickknacks you may have for art projects.
*We are also in need of a food processor for the kitchen.
*We appreciate your support.

Have a wonderful rest of the summer,
Rhonda Rasnic
Director
